With more than 17,000 islands, Indonesia offers incredible landscapes and experiences. My highlight was Sumatra, especially Bukit Lawang, where the roads fade into dense rainforest and unforgettable encounters with wild orangutans await. That experience rivals the breathtaking hike through Komodo National Park, with its pink beaches, rugged islands, and dramatic coastal scenery. And of course, no journey through Indonesia feels complete without experiencing the iconic culture, temples, and beautiful beaches of Bali.
My exploration began in Uganda where I experienced the life-changing magic of gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, coming face-to-face with a majestic silverback family. The adventure continued in Zambia’s vast savannahs and the thunderous Victoria Falls, eventually leading to Botswana. There, the raw beauty of the wild was on full display as we tracked a pride of lions, a truly unforgettable expedition.

A curated ascent through ancient peaks and hidden valleys, it is home to the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, perched high in the Andean peaks of Peru. Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake on Earth, and offers a rare glimpse into indigenous culture through the hand-woven floating islands of the Uros people, an experience that stays with you long after you return home.
